Need something to do after Thanksgiving other than beat the Black Friday crowds? There is plenty going in the Rivertowns this weekend, and we’re here to help you decide the best way to spend your time. 

Here are the details for several great events.

1. The Market at 145 Palisades: The Market at 145 Palisade Street in Dobbs Ferry will operates alongside the Curious-on-Hudson bookstore Sunday, Dec. 1. Enjoy some delicious cheese, baked goods and prepared food while browsing among original and unique items for you and your home. Find unique holiday gifts, fresh coffee, hot cider, wonderful books in a loft space. Get out for a while and enjoy a little bit of old world-style shopping and socializing.

2. Community Chanukah Celebration “Fire on Ice”: The Chabad of the Rivertowns, located at 303 Broadway in Dobbs Gerry, is featuring the world’s largest Giving Ice Menorah on Sunday, Dec. 1 at 1 p.m. It will be surrounded with buckets of donated hats, scarves and gloves. “I Love Our Youth,”featuring “Wacky Chad” and a stunt comedian and balloon sculptor Scott Kazanwill also be on hand, as well as latkes, donuts and gelt for all.

3. Mistletoe & Menorahs: Start off the Holiday Season with Mistletoe & Menorahs at the Lyndhurst Carriage House in Tarrytown. Not to be missed during the festive season is this collection of comedy-drama one-act holiday romps with festive songs in between. Mistletoe & Menorahs will be on stage for only three performances, Friday and Saturday, Nov. 29 and 30 at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 1 at 3 p.m. Tickets will be sold for $35 for all seats, general admission and will be available at www.Lyndhurst.org.
