Here's a look at some upcoming local happenings in the Rivertowns area this weekend.

Here are some ways to get out and enjoy the Rivertowns and beyond over the next few days:

Hudson Valley Jazz Festival

Where/WhenHastings Station Cafe on Friday, Aug. 9 at 8 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
Why go: The Jay Azzolina Trio will be performing in Hastings Friday night. Dinner and wine/beer will be served. Purchase tickets in advance here.
Pricing: $10 online in advance; $15 at the door

Family Day

Where/When: Yosemite Park (40 Yosemite Ave. White Plains) on Saturday, Aug. 10 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Why go: Greenburgh's Theodore D. Young Community Center is celebrating its annual Family Day outdoors on Saturday with the theme "Family is Our Foundation." There will be food, games, music and more.
Pricing: Free

Qi Gong in the Park

Where/When: Van Der Donck Park (Dock Street/Bashford Street in Yonkers) on Saturday, Aug. 10 from 8 to 8:45 a.m.
Why go: Start your weekend off when a free Qi Gong class in Yonkers (site of the Saw Mill River Day Lighting project).
Pricing: Free

Music in the Mansion: Border Crossings

Where/WhenLyndhurst on Sunday, Aug. 11 at 4 p.m.
Why go: Tango jazz, klezmer, country and other genres come together with Border Crossing's performance Sunday. Violinist Jennifer Curtis, cellist Alice Yoo and pianist Michael Boriskin will perform pieces by Aaron Copland, Paul Schoenfield, John Musto, Astor Piazzolla and Mark O’Connor. Purchase tickets in advance here.
Pricing: $25 adults; $14 children and teens ages six to 16

Hands On: Egg Collecting

Where/WhenStone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture on Saturday, Aug. 10 from 11 to 11:45 a.m. and 12 to 12:45 p.m.
Why go: Kids, ages two and up, can get hands on at Stone Barns in Pocantico Hills by visiting the on-site chicken coops. All participants must wear closed-toe shoes and kids must come with a ticketed adult.
Pricing: $12 nonmember adults/youths; $10.80 members
