RiverArts 50th Anniversary Fundraiser

Where/WhenDobbs Ferry Historical Society on Sunday, Sept. 22 at 5 p.m.
Why go: A silent auction, live music, food and drink and more will help RiverArts celebrate 50 years. Purchase tickets in advance at riverarts.org.
Pricing: $50 general admission; $35 artists and seniors

Teddy Thompson Live

Where/WhenThe Purple Crayon on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 8 p.m.
Why go: The Purple Crayon describes: "British folk-rocker Teddy Thompson infuses his music with an Americana sound, inspired by the country and soul music he loves, but he hasn't forgotten his English roots." Purchase tickets in advance here.
Pricing: $20

Farewell to Summer

Where/When: Captain Lawrence Brewing Company (444 Saw Mill River Rd. Elmsford) on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 7:30 p.m.
Why go: Say goodbye to the summer season and welcome fall at Greenburgh's local brewery. There will be live music by Frankenstein's Baby, an open bar, snacks and outdoor games. Proceeds will benefit Student Advocacy. Purchase tickets here.

Zinkali Trio Concert

Where/When: Greenburgh Public Library on Sunday, Sept. 22 at 2 p.m.
Why go: Elise Carter on flute, Susan LaFever on horn and Laura Ravotti on piano will be performing a number of contemporary selections—including works by Jan Bach, Douglas Townsend and Adrienne Albert—Sunday at the library.

A Concert & Reading with Paul Allen

Where/WhenHudson Valley Writers' Center on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 7:30 p.m.
Why go: Former professor Paul Allen will be performing a selection of his poetry and song lyrics in Sleepy Hollow Saturday evening.
Pricing: $5 suggested donation
