This place came highly recommended from our neighbors when our family first moved to Westchester five years ago. We loved it and we eat here roughly three times a week... a real fixture! The staff is friendly and the food is wonderful. Love the retro-50s decor and, in addition to the ol' diner standbys like milkshakes and burgers, they also do a great job with dinners too (I recommend the rigatoni pesto - my wife loves their chicken parm).

I like this diner a lot. Usually, I get the Dobbs Salad with grilled salmon over mixed greens with walnuts, avocados and strawberries, or the citrus salad which is similar. Usually one is on special for about $15 with soup and dessert. I always get their matzo ball soup, which is better than most places I've tried (and I always try because it's one of my favorites when done right). The pasta primavera is also good. I have only tried one other dish, I think it was pot roast, and found it to be too heavy for my taste. I've always found the service to be friendly and prompt.

We only eat here under duress. Service can be friendly, but overall, never has mediocrity cost so much. You can get a far more interesting and reliable meal at a comparable cost at many other places in Dobbs Ferry, or just about anywhere. The children's meals are so overpriced. Just order the raviolis and see what you get. People are complaining about Walgreens, a professionally run operation -- what about our local sacred cows like Dobbs Diner which are just coasting?

Never again! We've been eating here at least once a month (usually a lot more frequently) since 1993, but were so turned off by our experience last night that we're never going back. We waited for 40 minutes after ordering our food before we finally got frustrated and left. The place was half empty and our order was nothing complicated (a burger, a salad, and a kids mac and cheese). Meanwhile, rather than manage what's going on, the owners were drinking wine and enjoying their dinner in the middle of the place...that's just offensive. If anyone has suggestions for a new go-to diner, I'm all ears!

An completely mediocre diner with fanciful ideas of what good food and service is, for the upscale prices they charge, they need some strolling musicians.. or Something? Go to Mount Olympus on Central and be happy after! On the other hand, they are closest, and since the renovation are a step above the Hastings Diner. hmm..Which isn't saying much. Maybe the new Walgreens will serve us working poor breakfast?
