Main Street School is the public school serving students in fourth and fifth grades in the Village of Irvington. Because Main Street School is so centrally located in Irvington, it strives to establish partnerships with different organizations and groups in the village.  

Students are heterogeneously mixed in self-contained classrooms for all subject areas, but differentiation instruction is employed to meet students various needs. Teachers strongly emphasize language arts and math, but also make a point of offering well-rounded educations in science and social studies. Technology is integrated into all classroom work.  

Fifth graders begin learning Spanish or French, languages which they continue into middle and high school. Special needs services are made available through the Committee on Special Education.
