We used to dine at another sushi restaurant in Dobbs Ferry that was excellent yet very pricey, so we would only go 2x per month.
I found Sakura one night and have been an addict ever since. The food is always superb. Husband would never eat raw fish before Sakura but now craves it constantly and won't eat cooked salmon anymore. Hibachi is also awesome! Each visit I have been encouraged to try something new. The team remember EVERYTHING that you like. In the beginning I was happy with the usual, spicy tuna. Now more than a year later, I never know what I want, because everything is so yummy and fresh. Tuna martini, specialty rolls, The cracker specials, the avocodo is always delicious. The ginger salad dressing is the best I've had in any Japanese restaurant. I love the clear soup, but the vegetable tofu soup is fabulous too.
Everyone at Sakura is accommodating, friendly, professional, and always pleasant and the Sushi chefs are great! Now my husband who was turned off at the sight of raw fish is now craving the salmon sashimi, and can no longer eat cooked salmon. Did I mention that we eat there between 1 and 3 times per week? I guess you can call us Sakura addicts. This restaurant is my favorite place to eat. The prices are so reasonable and the food is superb. The presentation is an art in itself. You won't find a better place in Westchester County with fresher fish, nicer staff and service, and with most affordable prices.
We love Sakura!
