The Village of Irvington's Department of Recreation offers a wide variety of activities for children, adults and seniors. With eight full-time employees, the department has a larger presence than many for a village as small as Irvington.

Classes and programs include: theater, tennis, swimming, day camps and travel camps, basketball, kids music lessons, dance, football, soccer, softball, kayaking and even ski trips.  

It also oversees seasonal events such as the Halloween parade and fall hayrides.  

The department's superintendent is Joe Archino.
