The Dobbs Ferry Historical Society's mission is to "promote and preserve the history of the Village of Dobbs Ferry."…More The society collects and preserves public and private documents from the village, it films and records the oral histories of present citizens and it makes historical publications such as books, artifacts, paintings and maps available to the the citizens of this village.</p> <p>The Historical Society offers occasional house tours, lectures and events. Most recently, it organized "Brew La La," a celebration of natural beer, which featured fine ales and historical drinking songs.</p>

Abbott House also has various facilities and group homes throughout New York State. The Irvington site is also home to the organization's "Campus Program," a full-time rehabilitative foster care program for boys aged 7 to 17.  </p> <p>Since 1991, Abbott House has facilitated a mentoring program for at-risk youth to connect with upstanding members of the community. Abbot House takes pride in arranging great matches between children and adults and is always looking for volunteers.</p>
