Chief Cerone is a graduate of the FBI National Academy.</p> <p>Their departments include: youth, patrol, detective, safety-seat installation, vin etching, bike unit and a boat task force.</p> <p>The department takes pride in responding quickly to a variety of calls and are extremely community oriented. The Irvington PD sponsors recreation programs and four officers also coach high school sports. It also has four DARE-certified officers. </p>

The department is comprised of multiple divisions, including patrol, youth, detective, motorcycle patrol, boat patrol, and a certified child safety-seat technician. There are also two officers certified to teach DARE in public schools.</p> <p>The response time of this team is very short, usually dispatching an officer to an area of need within two minutes. There are generally four police cars on active duty at all times, within the 2.5 square mile radius of Dobbs Ferry. The Dobbs Ferry Police Department has 10 marked cars and several unmarked vehicles. </p>
