Dobbs Ferry Youth Football The below is courtesy of Dobbs Ferry Youth Football: Dobbs Ferry Youth Football is hosting an event on March 3rd at Doubledays on 83 Main Street. Dobbs Ferry will welcome the league's new president, Alan Straub, and vice president, Mike Valentin, while honoring the former heads of the league (Padraig Steinschneider and Gary Ferrari) for their many years of service. The goal of the evening is to raise money for new equipment for the league starting with state of the art helmets to ensure safety of the kids. $100 at the door will include food and open bar from 8 p.m. till midnight as well as raffle entry for door prizes. Mercy men's hoops We thank the Mercy College sports information department for the below submissions of its Feb. 18 contests: The Mercy College men's basketball team defeated ECC opponent Queens College, 60-54, in Queens. Hundreds of Hudson Valley wrestlers compete.
The Section One Wrestling Championships for Divisions I and II were held at Pace University in Pleasantville on Sunday. Hundreds of wrestlers from schools throughout the Hudson Valley competed across 15 weight classes. Fox Lane won the Division I team championship and Nanuet won again in Division II. Results of individual matches are with the attached photos.

Wrestlers from Rockland and Westchester advanced. The semifinals and finals will be held Sunday at Pace University.
The early rounds of the Section 1 Division 1 Wrestling Championships were held Friday at Clarkstown South High School in West Nyack. Each weight class featured 16 wrestlers from around Rockland and Westchester Counties. The top eight in each class advance to Sunday, where they’ll participate in the semifinals and finals to crown the section champs. That takes place at Pace University starting at 9 a.m. The third-place matches are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. with the championships to follow at 3:30 p.m. North Rockland sent six wrestlers into the semifinals.
