Dobbs Ferry Police Beat September 1 – 7: Yonkers Woman Charged with DWI, Man Charged in Money Order Theft

September 2 Windshield and Tire Slashed Causes $500 Damage 4:48 a.m. A 58-year-old Yonkers resident parked on Palisade Street reported that someone had broken his windshield on his Isuzu truck and slashed his front driver's side tire on an international truck, causing $500 in damages. This incident, criminal mischief in the forth degree, an E felony, occurred between 1 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. September 3 Marijuana Found on Young Speeder 1:10 a.m. A 17-year-old Hastings resident was pulled over for going 46 mph on Broadway, a 25 mph zone. When pulled over, the officer noticed a green leafy substance he believed to be marijuana by the passenger side. Irvington Police Beat June 30—July 7: Muffin Larceny, Repeat-Offender Lottery Ticket Thief Nabbed

Here is a summary of incidents reported by Irvington police for the week of June 30 — July 7, 2010.

July 1 Instant Arrest Sweepstakes 11:34 a.m. The owner of Lambros Shell Service Station on 1 North Broadway called police to report 19 stolen instant-win lottery tickets amounting to $320. The alleged thief came around the counter and grabbed the tickets while the attendant was busy elsewhere. On June 28, the suspect had also stolen three tickets in the amount of $90. On the morning of July 2, the alleged thief made an appointment to have his car serviced; Police were alerted and conducted a surveillance. They watched the man go behind the counter three times, stealing $820 in tickets. The 28-year-old Main Street resident was arrested as he left the store and charged with three counts of petty larceny, a misdemeanor. He was arraigned that …
