While my real job is President of Gotham Design & Community Development, Ltd., an architectural design, planning and development company I founded in 1978 and based in Dobbs Ferry, I spend a lot of my time participating in various efforts to help create community beyond the built environment. I am President of the Dobbs Ferry Youth Football Club and have been coaching youth football for 18 years. I have participated in numerous Village and School committees, particularly those that are focused on the creation and use of resources and facilities. I am also the Chief Operations Officer of the New York Chapter of the Congress for the New Urbanism, a national organization that has been trying to shift the paradigm for how land and resources are used, with the goal of stopping and repairing sprawl, while revitalizing our villages and downtowns. I have lived in Dobbs Ferry with my wife Debra since 1978 and have two children who attended the Dobbs Ferry schools and are now out on their own in the real world.
