Gas pipe repairs along Warburton Avenue in Hastings—between North Street and the Post Office parking lot—will cause some parking limitations over the next few days, according to the village.
A notice on the village's website says Con Edison work that began Wednesday "will require extending the distance for excavation further south on Warburton Avenue to just before the Protection Engine Fire House."
Con Edison will be working on the street on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
During these times, there will be no parking permitted on the northbound side of the street in the above mentioned stretch.
The southbound lane of Warburton Avenue between North Street and the Protection Engine Company will be closed during this time. Traffic will be diverted to North Street.
"Please be advised there is no good time for this type of business interruption," the village said. "However there is no alternative, the line must be replaced and made safe."
