Dobbs Ferry Police: 23 iPads Stolen; Wallet Snatched

A wallet taken after the July 4 fireworks and missing electronics have been reported to Dobbs Ferry Police.

Here's a look at some of the recent larcenies reported to the Dobbs Ferry Police Department:

Missing Computers
Police received a report from a camp director operating from the Master's School that two computers were taken from the science building sometime between the afternoons of June 21 and 24.

23 iPads Stolen
A Mercy College staffer told police on July 3 that 23 iPads that had been locked in a cabinet in a Mercy Hall classroom had gone missing.

The woman said the black 16G models, worth more than $9,000 collectively, disappeared between June 26 at 5 p.m. and July 1 at 9 a.m.

July 4 Wallet Snatching
Police received a complaint from a Glendale resident who was at Waterfront Park on July 4.

She told police that at approximately 9:30 p.m., her Michael Kors wallet (valued at $100) had been taken by an unknown person from her lawn chair.

She said she noticed it was missing at the conclusion of the fireworks.

Inside the wallet, the woman said was $80, a driver's license and several other forms of identification.
