Irvington Man Accused of Menacing Wife

The man's actions allegedly violated an order of protection previously put in place by family court.

The Irvington Police Department received an early morning report of a domestic dispute on June 11.

The 1:53 a.m. call from a North Broadway resident reported a 33-year-old man had menaced his wife, using a closed fist.

Police arrested the man and charged him with Criminal Contempt in the First Degree, an E Felony; as well as Menacing in the Third Degree, a B Misdemeanor.

According to police, the man's wife has previously received a temporary order of protection from family court, which prohibited him from harassing and menacing her.

The man was arraigned by Village Justice Desmond C. B. Lyons, who set $750 bail.

The defendant posted bail and is due back in court on June 17.
