A Bronx resident is charged with two felonies following the early morning incident.

A Bronx man has been charged with two felonies and a misdemeanor following a 5 a.m. August 29 incident.

Police received a call from a Madaba Deli & Grocery clerk who said a customer was the victim of a larceny.

Responding police said a 19-year-old village resident reported placing his wallet on the deli's counter after stopping by the store with an acquaintance he meant at a local bar at about 4:15 a.m.

Officers reviewed the deli's video surveillance and tracked down the Hastings man's acquaintance who appeared to pocket the wallet before leaving.

Saman Shojai, 32, of the Bronx, was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree, an E Felony, because, police said, the wallet contained a Citibank bank card.

In additional he was charged with Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, an E Felony, as well as misdemeanor Petit Larceny.

Police said the wallet also contained a New York State identification card and "a large quantity of cash."

Shojai was processed and released on $600 bail.
