  • Hastings-on-Hudson Superintendent of Schools Dr. Roy Montesano and Dr. Michael Mahony, the district’s director of curriculum and instruction will explain New York State’s new teacher evaluation system called the Annual Professional Performance Review (APPR) at 6:30 p.m. in the Lloyd Library, 1 Mount Hope Blvd. They will discuss how classroom observations and mandatory standardized tests for students will be used to evaluate teachers.

Tuesday, April 30

  • The Purple Crayon will host its weekly free Lunch Pad! event where the community is invited to meet from at 12 p.m. at 52 Main St. in Hastings-on-Hudson to share ideas, network and problem solve. Be sure to bring one ingredient for the communal salad. Click here for details.

Wednesday, May 1

  • The Irvington Planning Board will meet at 7 p.m. at village hall, 85 Main St. Mercy College and Continuum are on the agenda. Click here for the agenda.

Thursday, May 2 

  • The Dobbs Ferry Planning Board will meet at 8 p.m. at village hall, 112 Main St. A public scoping session will be held on the proposed Mercy College dormitory project at 555 Broadway. There will also be a continuation of a public hearing on the Rivertowns Square project. Click here to read the agenda.
  • Hastings High School will hold its spring concert in the auditorium at 7 p.m., 1 Mount Hope Blvd.

Friday, May 3

  • Friday Night Live will hold its “Dancing in the Streets” event from 6 p .m. to 9 p.m. on Main Street in Hastings-on-Hudson. The event includes dancing, music and more.  Click here for more details.
