Monday, Jan. 28

  • The Dobbs Ferry Architectural and Historical Review Board will meet at city hall, 112 Main St., 8 p.m.
  • The Irvington Architectural Review Board will meet at village hall, 85 Main St., at 8 p.m. Click here for the agenda. 

Tuesday, Jan. 29

  • The Irvington Zoning Board of Appeals will meet at city hall, 85 Main St., at 8 p.m. Click here for the agenda.
  • The Hastings on Hudson Democratic Party will hold its caucus, to nominate candidates for two trustee positions and mayor, for the March 19 election in the Orr Room of the Hastings on Hudson Library from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Caucus originally scheduled for tonight is postponed until tomorrow, Tuesday, January 29, 2013.  
  • The Hastings-on-Hudson Republican Committee will meet at 8 p.m. at the James Harmon Community Center, 44 Main St. to hold its caucus for two trustees and a mayoral seat.

Wednesday, Jan. 30

  • Rivertowns Mamas will host a workshop on “Raising Healthy Eaters” at 10 a.m. at 145 Palisade St. in Dobbs Ferry. The cost is $10, click here for details. 

Thursday, Jan. 31 

  • The “Irvington’s Got Music” Concert includes performances by local professionals, alumni and students of Irvington High School. The benefits will go towards the IHS Chorus’ trip to Italy.  It starts at the IHS Campus Theater, 40 N. Broadway, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10, click here for details.
  • A free screening of the anti-fracking concert protest film “Dear Governor Cuomo” will be shown at 7 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 25 Palisades St. in Dobbs Ferry. The film will be following by a teach-in with the filmmaker and activists from New Yorkers Against Fracking, Riverkeeper and Water Defense. Click here for details.

Friday, Feb. 1

  • Learn how to create a community garden, make an energy descent plan, make supportive relationship with friends and neighbors, further the local economy and grow food year around with transition training. The classes are on Friday, Feb. 1 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., dinner included; Saturday, Feb. 2, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., lunch included; Sunday, Feb. 3 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. dinner included. Tickets are $140 for the weekend. Click here for details.
  • The 7th Annual Irvington Spelling Bee will take place at 7 p.m. at the Village of Irvington Town Hall Theater, 85 Main St. Tickets are $10 and benefits will go to the Irvington Public Library.  Click here for details.
