The following message is from the Dobbs Ferry Democratic Committee.
At their annual convention this year, the Dobbs Ferry Democratic Committee unanimously endorsed incumbent Trustees David Koenigsberg, Donna Cassell, and Bill Flynn as their candidates for Village Trustee. There are three Trustee seats, on the seven member board, being contested this year. All board members serve two-year terms.
Mr. Koenigsberg is seeking his fourth consecutive term. He was first elected to the position in 2006 and was reelected in 2008 and 2010. Mr. Koenigsberg has also served as the village's Deputy Mayor. Ms. Cassell and Mr. Flynn are seeking their second consecutive term, having been first elected in 2010.
Mr. Koenigsberg serves as the liaison to the Architecture and Historical Review Board and has been a strong advocate for the village library during his tenure on the Board. Ms. Cassell is the liaison to the Conservation Advisory Board and has demonstrated a keen concern for traffic and safety issues in the Village. Last week at her urging, the Village’s adopted a “Complete Streets” Policy. Mr. Flynn is liaison to the Parks and Recreation Commission and has led efforts to improve village facilities and enhance recreational opportunities for village youth.
Randy Klipstein and Joy Haber, the leadership of the Dobbs Ferry Democratic Committee, said, “These three individuals embody the very best of what public service can be. They bring experience, expertise, energy, and empathy to the Board. We are proud to that they will be on our line on the November ballot.”
