Election Season Begins in Hastings-on-Hudson

The village's Democratic and Republican Committees will hold their caucuses next week.

Update from the Hasting Democratic Party on Jan. 28 at 4 p.m.: The Hastings on Hudson Democratic Party Caucus originally scheduled for tonight is postponed until tomorrow, Tuesday, January 29, 2013.  It will be held in the Orr Room at the Hastings on Hudson Library from 7:00-9:00 PM to nominate candidates for two Trustee positions and Mayor.

The smell of politics is in the air in Hastings-on-Hudson as preparation for the March 19 village election begins.

Both the Democratic and Republican committees will hold their caucuses next week to elect their nominees for the office of mayor and two trustee seats. While the caucus meetings are public meetings, only residents registered with a specific party can vote at their caucus.

The Hastings-on-Hudson Democratic Committee holds its caucus on Monday, Jan. 28 at 7 p.m. in the Orr Room of the Hastings-on-Hudson Public Library, 7 Maple Ave. The snow date is Tuesday, Jan. 29. For questions contact committee chair Ellen Hendrickx at 914-478-9303 or ehendrickx@aol.com.
