Where To Dine on Mother’s Day

You gave her a big belly before you were born, so what better way to repay her for bringing you into this world than filling it up again. Several Rivertowns restaurants are offering special menus for Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 12.

Here are our picks for places to treat your mother to a nice meal (be sure to call ahead for reservations and to confirm menus):

Celtic Corner – 73 Main St. #B, Dobbs Ferry  (914) 693-6566

• This Irish pub is serving a variety of brunch items from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for under $20 including any style eggs, make your own omelet, French toast, Celtic burgers and more. Brunch is served with tea or coffee and either two bloody Marys, mimosas or domestic beers. 

Half Moon – 1 High St., Dobbs Ferry (914) 693-4130

• In addition to riverfront views, this restaurant offers a pre-fixed menu for both lunch and dinner. Customers will get an appetizer, entrée and dessert for $53 for adults (plus tax and gratuity) and $25 for kids (plus tax and gratuity) between 11:30 a.m. and 9 p.m. The menu will include brunch items between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Calcutta Wrap & Roll - 465 Ashford Ave., Ardsley (914) 591-2222

• You can dine in, take out or have this restaurant's Indian food delivered to your door for Mother's Day. Check out their lunch and dinner specials for under $20 here. 

Harvest on Hudson – 1 River St., Hastings-on-Hudson(914) 478-2800

• The waterfront restaurant is serving a pre-fixed three-course lunch and dinner menu from noon to 9 p.m. for $58 (plus tax and gratuity). Harvest on Hudson’s Mother’s Day menu can be found here. 

MP Taverna – 1 Bridge St., Irvington (914) 231-7854

• Modern Greek fare will be offered on the tavern’s pre-fixed Mother’s Day menu for $29.95 (plus tax and gratuity).  Click here for the menu. 

Buffet de le Gare – 55 Southside Ave., Hastings-on-Hudson (914) 478-1671

• There will be selections from the French bistro’s regular menu as well as special items on Sunday’s pre-fixed three-course offering for $65 (plus tax and gratuity).
