Mike's Main Street Pizza & Restaurant Opens in Irvington

Mike's Main Street Pizza & Restaurant opened Friday in Irvington, and the buzz among customers was all about free delivery.

"We'll deliver anywhere within about two miles," said Mike Morina, who co-owns the restaurant with Vanderson Digesu.  

Morino comes to Irvington after having run an Italian restaurant in Greenwich, Connecticut.  "We serve the best pizza we can make," Morina said. "Both thin crust and thick crust."

Pizza toppings they are especially proud of include: chicken bruschetta, vegetarian (which has broccoli, spinach. black olives, chopped garlic, mushrooms, peppers and onions) and the specialty Main Street Pizza, with bacon spinach and olives.

Besides pizza, Mike's serves soups, salads, grinders, calzones, pastas, and entrees, like veal parmigiana and chicken cacciatore.                

Mike's Main Street Pizza & Restaurant is open Mon.-Thurs. from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Fri.-Sun. from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Phone number: (914)-231-9161. They are located at 48 Main Street, Irvington.
