Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued for Westchester

The National Weather Service warns about potential thunderstorms with damaging wind and rain.

A hazardous weather outlook has been issued by the National Weather Service for Westchester until 4 a.m. Possible thunderstorms have the potential to bring heavy wind and rain that could be damaging.

The NWS isn’t ruling out the possibility of an isolated tornado, especially during the morning hours. The forecast for the Rivertowns shows a 50 to 60 percent chance of heavy rain and gusty wind in the late afternoon through the evening with a high of 72 degrees and low of 57 degrees.

While the Rivertowns hasn’t seen any damaging weather Friday, Pelham Manor wasn’t so lucky as the municipality suffered from temporary flash flooding. Click here for a video on a motorist who was rescued from his flooded car.
