Chainsaw Slashes Contractor in the Face

A 38-year-old contractor was slashed in the face with a chainsaw while cutting vines off of a tree on Nov. 9 around 12:38 p.m. The Cortland man sustained severe lacerations when the saw came backwards and sliced his face while he was working on an E. Ardsley Avenue property.

The man was taken to Westchester Medical Center, police said. Though his current condition is unknown the injuries were severe, but appeared to be non-life threatening.
