Dog Killed in Hit-and-Run, Dog Found

This report was derived from information from the Hastings-on-Hudson Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

  • An Irvington resident was walking her dog on Nov. 2 around 3:15 p.m. when it broke free and ran across the intersection at Field Point Drive and Westwood Circle. A Honda struck and killed the dog while it was crossing the intersection. The car kept driving and did not stop.
  • A 10-pound brown and black terrier was round on W. Sunnyside Lane on Nov. 6. Contact police at (915) 591-8080 if you are missing your dog.
  • Irvington police were called to Dows Lane Elementary School on Election Day after a verbal dispute broke between a poll watcher and a poll worker over how the votes were being tallied.
