Police Confirm Violent Home Invasion in Ardsley; One Taken to Hospital

Police are searching for the suspects with the help of area police agencies.

Ardsley residents were rattled Monday evening by a home invasion that took place on Bramblebrook Road in a quiet neighborhood off of Saw Mill River Road.

"The home invaders were possibly armed," said Ardsley Police Chief Emil Califano. "We are still determining how many people were involved."

The father sustained minor injuries trying to defend his family—his wife and two sons—against the alleged burglars, Califano said, and was taken to the hospital via ambulance.

The rest of the family was taken to Ardsley Police Headquarters to speak with detectives.

Officers from Dobbs Ferry, Greenburgh and Westchester County police also responded. Police received the call at around 6 p.m.
