Rivertowns Commemorate 11th Anniversary of Sept. 11

A list of memorial events happening in your village.

Each year Rivertowns residents take time to honor those who lost their lives and their loved ones, along with the emergency personnel who risked their lives to save others on September 11, 2001. 

If you would like to pay your respects on the eleventh anniversary of the terrorist attacks, you can attend a commemoration event in your village.

Here are the ceremonies happening in the Rivertowns:

  • Dobbs Ferry Police, Dobbs Ferry Volunteer Fire Department and Dobbs Ferry Volunteer Ambulance Corps. will sponsor the annual 911 Memorial Ceremony at the 911 Waterfront Memorial at , 1 High St. in Dobbs Ferry at 7 p.m.
  • Concerned Families of Westchester and Greenhead Media will hold its annual September Concert from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Fulton Park, 7 Maple Ave. (at the southern end of the ) to celebrate hope, peace, life and universal humanity.
  • The Village of Irvington will hold a brief tribute at 8:30 a.m. at Scenic Hudson Park off of River Road in Irvington.
