After enjoying the Labor Day weekend,many students got on buses and stepped foot into their classrooms as Tuesday marked the first day of the 2012-13 school year in the Rivertowns.

While students in the Hastings-on-Hudson and Dobbs Ferry school districts started school Tuesday, Irvington students start Wednesday.
